Miscellaneous Friday stuff.

Yes, I know. Three posts in one day can be a little overkill. But there are a couple of things I want to share with you.
1. I am sort of spotting. Pink. Light. But it’s there. My nurse told me today that I should expect AF in at the most two weeks. I wonder if the super estrogen levels, combined with suppression meds, made it so my progesterone levels are very low? I’m not sure what to expect here – anyone go through this?
2. If #1 is correct and I get AF soon, well that’s good news because it means that I can definitely cycle again without being too worried about our Italy trip becoming an issue.
3. You all cracked me up with advice on how to deal with my brother-in-law’s mother at K’s party tomorrow. Honorable mention goes to adirondackjen’s story about her friend’s response to someone who asked that… would that I had the balls to say something like that.
However, I intend to take the high road. If she asks me when we are going to have kids, I will respond either with an “I don’t know” or “I’m sure at some point we’ll have kids.” I intend on being vague. And if she presses me, I will just politely tell her I don’t intend to have a discussion about it.
As Bea said, the Mantra is that it’s never as bad as we think it’ll be. That’s probably the case with this party.
But I’ll be glad when it’s over, that’s for sure. Then it’s clear sailing until K’s shower in June.

*Hardly ever* as bad. I’m sure someone can entertain us with the story of a time which was even worse… (Expectant look towards stage right.)

Well, since you won’t be having sex for the next 2 weeks, I guess there may be a few more ‘three posts in one day’ days!
I don’t know about #1. Hopefully, it will arrive shortly and this will be the shortest luteal phase in history!

That spotting could be ovulation spotting. Or it could be “just because”, which is my favorite kind of spotting.

So glad it looks good for the Italy trip. You deserve something fun to look forward to.
As for the party, you’re a stronger person than I am. I’d be inclined to skip it. Hope it’s not too bad, and that D remembers her manners.

Well, I hope you got through the party today. All in one piece.
And I like Tipsymarie’s assessment: “just because” spotting… But I am going to put in my vote for ovulation spotting. Because that would be a freaky short LP.
