The next step.
August 15, 2008
The feedback from my interview: The Controller really liked me. Even though I didn’t have quite the years of experience he thought he wanted, he thinks I’m the right person for the job.
I go back next Tuesday to meet with him again, as well as the CFO and VP of HR.
Woot!

That job sounds so great! I stay home but for one day a week, and I wish I could work more. I don’t think daycare changes the relationship you have with your baby, it just changes the amount of time you spend. I know I certainly appreciate kids who’ve been to daycare in the classroom: their ability to cope with others and socialize takes stress out of the classroom environment for everybody.
I miss problem solving logistical or abstract problems that aren’t domestic problems. If anyone gives you grief, remember that your life is somebody else’s dream life right now.
I really hope you get this job, it sounds just right for you.

Dear Serenity, after far, far too long, I finally got all caught up yesterday, and am so glad you are doing so well and growing spectacularly well into your role as a mother. (You are, you know.) Yay! And what an absolute cutie you’ve got there…
Congratulations on your job interview! Wishing you all the best of luck for Tuesday and beyond.
Please forgive me for staying away so long. But I didn’t want to come back without going back and reading every word I missed. A bit compulsive, perhaps — but worth it.

Isn’t it truly amazing how, after all the IF pain and after all the tears, every piece of our life (and every piece of ourselves!) starts to fit into place????
….I really hope this “NEW” piece of your life fits perfectly into its place. You deserve it!
In my country, there is this myth saying that every child brings a *torta* under his arm -meaning prosperity and great things! – So stay tuned for what Baby O may be up to!
