Why babies are cute.

April 17, 2008 at 7:28 am | Posted in Uncategorized | 15 Comments

I’ve been up with a wide awake (and now very grumpy) Baby O since 3:30 this morning.

I knew that yesterday’s all-afternoon and evening nap would bite me in the ass.

Lucky he’s cute.

I bet you babies are made cute so they get to grow up.

  1. Definitely! Hope you guys are able to get some rest today. 😦

    Hang in there!

  2. hahahah, I don’t even have a comment, JUST GIGGLES , that was so cute!!!!

  3. Yep, I think you hit the nail on the head with that one.

  4. I always look at my guys, after they’ve been screaming, and they’ll smile up at me .. or in their sleep as I hold them … and it’s not FAIR for them to be so cute when you want to be mad that they’ve behaved so bad.

    Get some rest!

  5. I think you are totally right!

  6. Um, ya. Totally agree with you there.
(I am always torn whether to wake the baby from a long nap…)
Hope you can get a few seconds rest today.

  7. You’ve figured out the secret to life. Or, perhaps, simply the secret to babyhood.

  8. Not too far off the truth.

A recent study showed that a certain part of the brain (one of the positive, feel-good parts) fires off when we see babies. We’re mentally programmed to think they’re cute. Otherwise, yeah, they wouldn’t make it far sometimes…

  9. Seriously, I think the cuteness thing was a clever move on the part of mother nature. What I don’t understand is why she neglected to get babies to sleep better!

  10. I’m sure you are right about this!

  11. I agree!!

Babies are like the worst designed mammal. Everyone else comes out walking and eating and all that. It takes a while for a human to be able to do anything. lol

  12. LOL, I totally agree

  13. You are so right. They have to be cute and they have to fit right under your chin on your chest so that you can feel close to them…or else. 🙂

  14. Amen!

  15. Happy ONE MONTH BABY O!!!! Love the last pic…so sweet!
