IBDW 2011.
January 6, 2011 at 6:00 am | Posted in The Community | 47 CommentsI love when International Blog Delurking Week comes around. Because honestly, I love to know about my readers.
It means that I FINALLY get a chance to visit every person who delurks and tells me they’re reading.
And, because blogging really sort of is inherently narcissistic, I also like knowing the people read the drivel I throw onto the internet.
So give me a “Hi!” or a “Go to Hell, Serenity!” if you so feel like it.
Either way, you’ll make my day. π

I’m not a lurker, per se, but I’m also not a frequent commenter, though I read your blog every day. You’re in my thoughts and prayers for an easy and successful cycle this month.

Oops. I think I was logged in with my Typepad address, which I abandoned a long time ago. My blog is now http://chezperky.wordpress.com , though I admit that I’m not nearly as prolific as you.

Comment by kelly— January 6, 2011 #
I’ve commented a few times but have been reading for years! One of the best I read. So I wanted to suggested if O likes to cut things the Melissa and Doug wooden cutting toy. I got it for my son and he loves it!
Anyway – Hi! Good luck this cycle!
Comment by Laura— January 6, 2011 #
I’ve been reading for several years. I may have delurked before, I’m not sure.
Comment by MSW— January 6, 2011 #
I’ve commented before – but not regularly. Love your blog!
Comment by Sarah— January 6, 2011 #
Hi! *waves* I don’t know why I am such a good reader, but terrible commenter. Sorry!
Comment by Kate— January 6, 2011 #
I have been reading your blog for sometime and never commented. We are trying for baby#2 as well and having a hard time. I really identify with your posts and I am pulling for you with this new cycle:)

I have commented before too once or twice, but am still probably classified as a lurker. I love reading your blog – my twin girls are just a little younger than your O, so it’s fun tracking your journey with him, while having experiences with my own girls. All the best!
Comment by Leslie— January 6, 2011 #
I think you know I’m reading (and thanks so much for reading my blog; it makes me so happy!). But I thought I’d say hi. You are such a good writer, and I feel like you often capture just what I’m feeling.

I have a son exactly (3/13/08) your son’s age.
Comment by Katie— January 6, 2011 #
I’m not a total lurker as I have commented from time to time. I don’t have a blog. Keeping a journal has never been a strong suit. I have a son who is 3 months older than yours, so I love reading what O is up to.
Comment by Mer— January 6, 2011 #
No necessarily a lurker, but sometimes I read w/o commenting due to lack of time/inspiration.
I love your blog and hope this next cycle works for both of us!
Comment by Kate— January 6, 2011 #
Is never having time to catch up on your reading delurking? Happy New Year!

I may have commented once or twice, but I lurk most of the time π HI from Kelly in Oregon! Btw, my bro got into the Harvard Business School for next fall and my first thought was, “Oh, Serenity from the blog lives there!” Haha, what a weird world we live in nowadays… π
Comment by Kelly— January 6, 2011 #
I’ve been reading your blog for several years now and really enjoy all aspects of it! I have learned lots of things from you, some of which I’m sure you wish you weren’t the teacher of (infertility mostly), but nonetheless, I really enjoy your blog! It’s been so neat hearing about O’s milestones along side you and your husband’s! You have a beautiful family!!

Hi! I found you in late 2008, I believe. I went back and read your story and am still following you. I think you were my first IF blogger, I was googling something about abnormal uteruses. I have a unicornuate uterus w/ non-communicating L horn, but have never had problems conceiving. I have a 3 yr old & a 4 month old. I’m 26 years old & live in southeastern Minnesota. I have learned so much from you and Natalie (Relaxing doesn’t make babies), who I found on your list.I continue to read your adventures with babies and about the world of IF. I have two close friends who have been trying for years to have kids and I feel like I have a small inkling of what they may be going through. I dont think I’ve ever commented, but nice to meet you and best wishes for your latest cycle.

Hello Serenity! I lurked for a bit before I made my first comment. And now, I can’t seem to stop commenting!
Comment by Summer— January 6, 2011 #
Hi Serenity! Lurker from NY here. I am 28 & married almost 5 years. I very much enjoy your blog. I have medical problems so I hope to adopt or use a surrogate someday. For now I have two giant dogs who are my “babies”. Good luck! Rooting for you & your family! π

I’m a lazy commenter of late, but still reading.

I’ve totally been a lurker — for several years. I used to read ME’s blog and then started reading yours too, so I’ve been around for several years. Good luck this month!
Comment by Lorna— January 6, 2011 #
I’m pretty sure I don’t qualify as a lurker π But I still wanted to send you best wishes for this cycle!
Comment by ultimatejourney— January 6, 2011 #
Infrequent commenter, long-time reader – rooting for you all the way!
Comment by eep6— January 7, 2011 #
I have been reading for years (well before O’s successful cycle), but I rarely comment. Wishing you the best of luck with this cycle!
Comment by Ashley— January 7, 2011 #
I’m a newish reader, surfed over from A Half Baked Life. Definitely praying for you this month.
Comment by JeCaThRe— January 9, 2011 #
I’m another longtime lurker. I have twin boys who are O’s age and love following along, but never got around to starting a blog of my own.
Comment by Amy— January 9, 2011 #
Delurking to say thanks for your own comment on my blog!
Comment by loribeth— January 10, 2011 #
Not a complete lurker since I do comment every now and then but thought I would give you a shout out and say hi! Still reading! I often relate to you – well, more than often. I haven’t posted in my own blog since last May and I’m not sure why exactly. Maybe I feel like I’ve said it all or maybe I just don’t know where I fit in anymore. Anwway…hi. π
Comment by angie— January 10, 2011 #
Hi there, I am not quite a lurker, but comment only occasionally. I live in South Africa, where I work as a chemical engineer. I read a lot of IF blogs, even though I did not have trouble conceiving. (The reason for this is that the first blog I ever read was that of Tertia of So Close, after reading her book.) I like your honest writing and can relate to some of the areas in your life, other than IF.
I pray that this coming cycle brings you the addition to your family that you long for. Also that you will soon find the inner peace that you are in need of!
