Transfer Day.

In case you were wondering?

It’s here.

Transfer day.

The plan is to transfer the best one from the straw. I called in sick this morning so I could take a day and… well, you know, Just Relax.

I will drop O off at school, then head to the gym for a run and get some errands done before we need to be to the clinic at 12:30. This afternoon I plan on sitting on the couch and watching a movie.

And it’s sort of funny. I don’t have very much to say about the actual transfer.

All the emotion that’s characterized the last few cycles has seemed to melt away.

I’m not angry any more, I’m not sad, I’m not excited or even very hopeful.

It just IS.

Today represents another chance of getting pregnant. A REAL chance, not some piddly percentage of 1% as if we were trying on our own.

I really WANT this to work.

But I have zero control over the outcome.

  1. Thinking of you, sweet friend. We gotta get you on twitter with JJ and SomewhatOrdinary, we can send you love all day.

  2. Good luck.

The nurses in there do a good voodoo dance for luck if you act pathetic enough 🙂 It’s at least hilarious, if not helpful.

  3. Thinking of you! I like the idea of dancing nurses… 🙂

  4. I can’t believe it is here today already. Sounds like a nice laid back day. I know the feeling of having a hard time hoping or letting yourself really really want this. So, I’ll hang on to hope for you!

  5. Good Luck! And hoping with all the hope I can muster that this works for you.

  6. Good luck! Today is the perfect day for watching a movie on the couch, too.

About calling in sick – I have always wondered what one tells one’s boss about all the missed time. I guess it depends on your boss. I hardly missed any work time getting pregnant with J, and my boss still figured out what was going on (she’d had fertility issues herself, 20 years ago).

  7. Thinking about you today … in some ways, it’s probably better to feel nothing right now if you can manage that. Glad you’re going to relax. Love the idea of dancing nurses.

  8. Good luck 🙂

  9. I’m hoping it works too!

  10. Sending hope and happy thoughts your way today! Good luck!

  11. GOOD luck. I hope you get a good movie for the couch this afternoon (and maybe chocolate? I always find chocolate goes well with lazy days.).

Will have everything crossed for you. I think it is no bad thing to be free of all the extreme emotions IF treatment brings out- positive and negative.

  12. Good luck!!!! ❤

  13. Good luck! Thinking about you!!

  14. Jeez. That was fast!! Good luck these next two weeks.

BTW, I read your last post again b/c I love it so much.

  15. Thinking of you today!

  16. All the very best. Enjoy your movie.

  17. I am behind in my reading and surprised & excited to see this day upon you already. It is a chance and a possibility and that is what matters.

Wishing you all the best today and through the 2WW.

  18. Fingers crossed for you!
